For this day we were set the task of creating outfits using our piece of favourite piece of art that we used the day before. We set about this by creating stencils of outfits and then cutting out parts of the painting in these outfit shapes. Here are my results:
As you can see I have full top and bottom outfits that are made in the pattern of my favourite painting. I think that this pattern worked very successfully to create an authentic look and feel to my outfits and they really catch each moment from the painting just in their small shape.
Here we were meant to choose a models outfit we liked in a magazine and then to layer it using shapes we cut out from materials around the room. I decided the concentrate on the lower part of this models dress by layering it with primary coloured card. I decided to create focus on the outlines of the shape of the dress by outlining it with the different shaped card. I feel this gives a good effect but I would have preferred to outline the entire dress if I had more time to do so.
