3D Rotation - Day 3

Building structures using spaghetti

We were set the task of building a free standing structure that can hold three balls up, without them touching each other, by only using spaghetti and a glue gun.

Here are some of my initial designs.

I decided to use the spaghetti in an upside down pyramid arrangement to hold the balls in 3 separate parts so that they weren't touching each other. Here is my final build:

We were then told we had a short amount of time to reinforce our structures with only paper to help them withstand a basketball being thrown on them. I decided to roll the paper into tubes and slide them underneath parts of the structure to add reinforcement and strength. Here is my structure with the added reinforcement:

My structure did not survive the basketball being thrown at it as some of the spaghetti structure was exposed on the side without any protection.
