Lens Based Media Rotation - Day 1

For this day we were set the task of bringing in a photo that meant something to us and we would then draw it. I decided to bring in a picture of my cat as my cat means a lot to me as I've had it since I was a child and have grown up with it. My cat also looks very good in photos so I thought it would make a nice photo and drawing.

Here is the original picture I took of my cat laying on a TV stand whilst looking out into the garden.

Here is my drawing of this:

As you can see, there are pieces of paper ripped up around the cat. This is because we were asked to outline with ripped paper, the most important parts of the picture. Therefore I outlines the entire cat as I feel it is the most important part of the picture and that the background doesn't really matter much compared to the cat as it is the main focus of the picture.
